This has to be the epitome of a Stout Sunday. Snowing like no tomorrow, temperature below freezing and, well it’s Sunday.
Today is the perfect day to finally experience the Barrel Aged Dessert in a Can from @amundsenbrewery.
This Imperial Stout is not for the faint of heart. Am I getting the pecan flavour? Yep. Am I getting the maple? Absolutely. Those 2 alone would hit the spot. I mean, who doesn’t like pecan and maple pie?
But for me, over and above those 2 amazing flavours is the hum at the back of the throat from the bourbon barrel. Just what I need on one of the coldest days in the last few years.

Which idiot came up with the idea that you should pair your beer with a dessert? Why not just make a beer that would be dessert in itself? Save yourself making dessert and just crack one of these open.
